"I signed up with HSP at the end of 2006. I was looking for a cycling coach and what I found is much more. Todd’s teachings on the bike apply to work, parenting, and my overall approach to life. The combination of attention to technical detail, mental preparation, and experiences as a pro racer make Todd a valuable and rare asset. In the six months I’ve been working with HSP, I have seen a more than 40 percent increase in wattage and radical improvements with position and pedal stroke. Todd has returned the feeling of continuous gratification around improvement that I experienced when I first started racing my bike. I look forward to training with Herriott Sports for years to come!"

"I had been racing cyclocross for 6 seasons before working with Herriott Sports Performance. I raced against 100+ sized fields in New England--the hotbed of cyclocross--and saw moderate results, but not a giant gain in my performance. I had been using a very popular book on do-it-yourself training, but wasn’t seeing that breakthrough in my racing.

In 2006, I met Todd Herriott through a mutual friend. I began to use TH as my coach in the spring of 2006. I also purchased an SRM powermeter. The 'cross season quickly approached and I started seeing noticeable results. Race 1: 2nd. Race 2: 3rd. Race 3: 2nd. And finally, I won a race in Oregon with a large field. I went down to Oregon again and won a Cross Crusade race with nearly 100 racers. From the gun, I dominated that race. In January, I traveled to Belgium to race the Master’s World Championships and placed 28th, the best placing for a 30-34 year old American.

No doubt about it, my work with HSP has changed the way I train, the way I approach racing. I am a better racer, hands down."

"From the first time I had testing done at Herriott Sports Performance, I knew I had finally found 'it'. As an athlete, I have found it elusive to find the 'full meal deal' in coaching. I found it at HSP. They are clear and timely with communication, experienced and professional in their conducted and follow-through. Russell and Todd stay very current on new training techniques and equipment AND are tons of fun and personable. I know my plan is personalized 'just for me' and is moving me towards MY goals. And that is exactly what I wanted"

Todd and his staff allow me to fully focus on my daily performance on the bike, and they give me that necessary sense of relaxation and confidence in my training programs. Herriott Sports uses a great mix of new and established training techniques, and I have never worked with a group that gives me more personal and hands on service. I know that I go to every race as ready as possible."

"I've been looking for a coach of Todd's expertise and knowledge for awhile now. Todd's experience of the pro level has been invaluable. Plus, being introduced to training with wattage has been a huge asset. Especially for someone like me, who has a demanding work schedule and needs to be as efficient as possibly in their training."

"Thank you, Russell, for the bike fit and advice you provided. Honestly, I cannot tell you how impressed I was with the depth of your knowledge in all things cycling. The fit up has made a tremendous difference in my performance and comfort on the bike. I think it should be required for every semi-serious cyclist. It just makes sense.

With your help I am riding longer and stronger than before. I have been telling my friends about my experience at Herriott Sports Performance and they are all very impressed by what you have achieved. I am certainly not the world-class athlete that you are accustomed to serving, but it is nice that a person like myself can benefit from the same level of service. I have been following your advice on nutrition as well. It has made all the difference in the world."

"Just beneath Todd's charismatic and often downright wacky facade, is real wisdom and attentiveness. I imagine that he's one of the few coaches with a truly holistic understanding of the role of a cycling coach. He combines it all: training planning, testing, nutrition, physiological optimization, racing knowledge and experience, and mental guidance. His strongest ability lies in his innate consciousness of the athletic mind. At the top level, the mind is the biggest limiter. I could dig out dozens of emails and voice messages that came at the crucial time with the perfect message. He has a sixth sense about what's going on in your head. I trust his coaching and can say in earnest that he's someone who really gives a damn. He gets it. Plus, he makes me laugh so hard that I want to pee in my pants."

"I am a moderately successful triathlete for my advanced age (52) and began working with Todd and Russell this January. My goal was simply to see if Todd could help me win, period! Now after working with Todd I have new goals and a great appreciation for what I was ignoring in my training. I used to think it was all about training hard every week and basically just ran, swam and biked hard all the time. Now I am learning about core strength, recovery, balance, and how to train. Todd has me thinking about overall fitness not just biking and running and I feel stronger, healthier and am just five months into it. Plus, Todd and Russell have great enthusiasm and are wizards when you need to ask basic stuff about racing, bike set up, tactics and the like. Then, if that isn't enough, I had a frozen shoulder when I started there and they have Dr. William Pettis working with them (who also treats George Hincapie) and the doc healed my arm in three acupuncture sessions. Amazing."
