Essentials of Criterium Racing Clinic: May 24th

Criterium racing is fast, technical, and mentally challenging. Join HSP cycling coaches Todd Herriott and David Richter this Saturday for an informative and challenging clinic on the intricacies of criterium racing. Both Todd and Dave are retired professional bike racers who have raced the biggest criterium events in America and each have unique insight on what it takes to be successful at this discipline. Whether you are preparing for your first event or have plenty of experience and are looking for ways to sharpen your skills, this clinic will provide you with the instruction and confidence you need to race criteriums effectively and efficiently.

Topics to include: Pre, post and race nutrition, equipment choices, warming up, starts, contact skills and drills, cornering technique, when and where to move up, timing the attack and setting up for the finish, as well as tried and true training protocols to improve performance.
