We are really happy to announce that Tela Crane is now a part of the HSP coaching staff.

Tela has been competing in different cycling disciplines for the past
eight years. She has raced nationally and internationally and earned
15 medals at national championship events, including four golds.
Her primary racing focus has been on the track, with emphasis on
sprint events. In 2004, she won two Junior National Championships on
the track and was selected to the Junior National Team for the Pan
American Games and the World Championships. After placing 10th at the
World Championships in the Match Sprint event, she was chosen to be a
resident athlete at the Olympic Training Center as a member of the
Elite National Track Team.
Education has always been a priority for Tela, and she left the
Olympic Training Center to attend Western Washington University in
2005. During her four years at Western, Tela focused on cyclocross and
collegiate road racing. This focus led to an Elite State Championship
and a Collegiate National Championship in cyclocross in 2007.
Tela has five years of coaching experience, specifically with junior
riders and beginners. She is the lead instructor and program
coordinator for the youth classes at the velodrome, and has worked
with the Rad Racing Junior team in all disciplines. Her race
experience in track, cyclocross and road pays off with tactical
knowledge and event specific training.
