HSP athletes are making a huge impact on the track. Guy Tucker has been blazing. Guy cruised through the CAT 4’s & before he realized it, he became a 2! Guy has done what usually takes years, in one season! Now, Guy is preparing for Masters Nationals and the Pan AM Masters Championships. Guy’s success is no surprise…he takes pride in his training and always has fun. Look for Guy at the track (he’s the guy always smiling).
The next HSP terminator in Jennifer Triplett. Jen has a lot of podium frequent flyer miles. If you watched the recent FSA Grand Prix, then you probably remember Jen. Jen is one of the top track racers in the NW. She recently adopted a new sprint technique and has elevated her game to the next level. If you are a CAT 3 male on the track, you may find getting upgrade points a bit tougher recently…Jen’s in the house. JT has Elite & Masters Nationals in her sights & is determined to return to Marymoor with a new jersey.
Ryan Gist can’t seem to stop making headlines. Ryan recently moved to Seattle from Wisconsin. He wears the kit of the club he was on in Wisconsin. He’s the guy with no team that is always at the front. He’s the buff dude that is always in the mix. I don’t think Ryan will have a problem finding a team to ride with next season. The best way to keep someone from beating you…get him on YOUR team. Ryan whizzed through the CAT 4’s and is now going just as fast in the 3’s. Don’t be surprised to see Ryan banging with the NW elite next season.
The next two HSP athletes are Ross Spero & Joe Wasikowski. It is no surprise that Ross blew through the CAT 4’s, then the CAT3’s. Ross aspires to be one of the best sprinters is the NW. He is on track. If you watched the FSA GP the first night, then you probably remember Ross & Joe. One of the most exciting races of the night was the CAT 3 scratch race when Waz gave Ross a wicked lead out for the win. The Waz is the guy who always gives it a go. When the sprinters are sizing each other up and looking around, Joe throws it down. He’s the guy that is always off the front with two laps to go. Joe’s popularity is growing because he races so hard. He’s in the mold of Jens V or Fabian C. Look for The Waz off the front. And look for Ross mixing it up with the NW elite.
